Für dieses Wandbild habe ich einmal wieder die Farben von Tim Holtz – Distress Inks und Distress Oxides – eingesetzt. Für den Hintergrund habe ich die Distress Ink Farben Squeezed Lemonade, Tattered Rose, Iced Spruce und Bundled Sage kombiniert. In mehreren Schritten werden die Farbschichten übereinander gelegt. Um die Farbpalette noch ein wenig zu erweitern und den Hintergrund noch interessanter zu gestalten, habe ich mit Sprühfarbe für Textilien die lila Flecken kreiert und die grünen Bereiche mit Neonfarbe verstärkt. Dabei war das Papier noch ein wenig nass, so dass sich die Farben leicht vermischten.
For this wall picture I used Tim Holtz – Paints once again. The background was created with Distress Inks Squeezed Lemonade, Tattered Rose, Iced Spruce and Bundled Sage by layering the colours in several steps. In order to widen the colour palette and to make the background more interesting, I created the lilac spots with fabric spray paint and enforced some of the green areas with a Neon paint (both by Marabu).
Für den Mann mit Schirm, eine Tim Holtz Stanze, habe ich die Distress Oxides verwendet. Diese bleiben nach dem Farbauftrag matt. Am Rand bin ich dann ohne Wasser nochmal mit einer dunkleren Farbe über die Oberfläche gegangen. Weiter habe ich mit Distress Oxides den Hintergrund in der Mitte des Bildes durch den direkten Auftrag der Farben etwas beruhigt. Der Mann ist dunkel hinterlegt, dies kreiert Tiefe.
For the Umbrella Man I applied Tim Holtz – Distress Oxides as they have a matte finish. Along the edge I took some darker tone and used the ink pad directly on the surface without water. Additionally I used some Oxides for the center of the background to make some areas less busy by applying them directly. The Umbrella Man is layered up with a darker shade to create depth.
Um das Bild fertigzustellen, habe ich die Schrift ausgeschnitten und die eingefärbten Zahnräder verklebt. In der passenden Farben wurden die Passepartouts eingefärbt.
To finish the picture off I die cut the text and fixed the gears which I painted with alcohol inks. The picture mounts are all coloured to match.
