Diese Standbild ist eine Auftragsarbeit zur Geburt eines Babys. Es sollte in neutralen Farben gehalten werden, da es noch nicht bekannt war, ob es ein Mädchen oder Junge sein wird. Passend zum Winter habe ich kühle Farben gewählt und einen winterlichen Hintergrund gearbeitet. Der gesamte Erlös kommt wieder dem Projekt Hamburger Engel und damit dem Kinderheim Erlenbusch zu Gute.

This little Stand-up-picture is a customer’s order for the birth of a baby. As the gender wasn’t known yet the colours should be kept neutral. Matching winter time I chose cooler colours with a wintery background. The entire income will go to the project Hamburger Engel for the children’s home Erlenbusch once again.

Integriert ist ein kleines Fotoalbum. Wenn dieses rausgenommen wird, sieht man ein Fenster mit Schnee, Sternen und Schneeflocken im Hintergrund. Die Vorderseite des Album selbst ist so gearbeitet, dass es auch ein winterliches Fenster mit Babywäsche auf einer Leine zeigt.

Included is a small photo album. When pulled out the background is a window with snow, stars and snowflakes. The album front is created as a wintery window with baby clothes on a line.

Anleitung – Tutorial

Für diese Projekt habe ich Eileen Hull’s Scoreboard Dies eingesetzt. Diese eignen sich hervorragend für solche Projekte. Für das eingeschneite Fenster habe ich die Stanze Window Box verwendet und 4 Schichten des Fensters aufeinander geklebt, dazwischen habe ich jeweils eine Schicht recyceltes Plastik verklebt und Distress Glitter Clear Rock Candy und Sterne eingefüllt. Wichtig ist, auch die Verstrebungen zu verkleben, da sonst der Schnee immer nach unten rieselt. Alles wird mit Papier abgedeckt, die Ränder mit Distress Ink Ground Espresso bearbeitet.

For this project I used Eileen Hull’s Scoreboard Dies. They are perfect for these kind of projects. For the snowed in window I used the Window Box Die and glued 4 layers on top of each other. In between I fixed layers of recycled plastic sheets and filled in Distress Glitter Clear Rock Candy and stars. It’s important to fix all of the window frames otherwise the entire snow will drop to the bottom. All surfaces are covered with paper, the edges are distressed with Distress Ink Ground Espresso.

Ich habe alles auf eine kleine Idea-ology Box verklebt, die ich vorher mit Distress Paint Ground Espresso behandelt habe. Da ich ein Baby in einer Badewanne arbeiten wollte, habe ich Mosaiksteine als Badezimmerboden genommen und die Leuchtkraft ein wenig mit Archival Ink Ground Espresso abgeschwächt. Die Fensterbox dient als Fach für das Mini-Fotoalbum.

All parts were glued on top of a small Idea-ology box which I painted with Distress Paint Ground Espresso first. For the bathroom floor I used some mosaic stones as I wanted to have a baby in a bath tub. With Archival Ink Ground Espresso I reduced the glow a bit. The window box is the compartment for the little photo album.

Mit der Scoreboard Stanze Notebook habe ich das Album geschnitten und die Seiten wurden mit der Scoreboard Stanze Book Passport geschnitten. Diese sind genau passend zum Notebook. Auf die Vorderseite des Albums habe ich das Fenster nochmals verklebt und mit Babykleidung an der Leine verziert. Egal, ob das Album in der Box steht oder nicht, man schaut immer auf ein eingeschneites Fenster.

For the album I used the Scoreboard Die Notebook and cut the pages with the Scoreboard Die Book Passport which fit perfectly. On the front I glued the window again and decorated it with baby clothes on a washing line. No matter if the album is in the box or not, you will always see a snowy window as a backdrop.

Für die Badewanne habe ich eine alte Sizzix Stanze Dress Ups Bath Accessories mit einer Stanze von Elizabeth Designs kombiniert. Das Baby ist ein Stempel von Marianne Design, über den ich neulich auf einer Reise gestolpert bin.

For the Bath tub I combined an old Sizzix Die Dress Ups Bath Accessories with a die from Elizabeth Designs. The baby is a stamp by Marianne Design, a lucky find on one of my recent travels.
