Es beginnt immer mit einer kleinen Idee, diesmal durch Lord Dracula von der Monster Reunion ausgelöst. Sein Ausdruck von Arroganz und Modebewusstsein verlangte nach einer Bühne für ihn. Passend dazu sollte natürlich die Dekoration nicht fehlen wie ein Baum mit gruseligen Ornamenten.

It always starts with a small idea, this time sparked by Lord Dracula of the Monster Reunion. His arrogant expression and aura of style were asking for a stage for him with matching decoration like a tree with spooky ornaments.

Als Basis von Lord Dracula habe ich Yupo Papier eingefärbt, um einen Grundton zu erzielen. Dann habe ich vom Stamper Anonymous Set ‚Monster Reunion‘ Dracula mit Archival Ink Black Soot mehrfach gestempelt und die Oberfläche mit Embossing Pulver Frosted Crystal versiegelt. Nachdem ich die einzelnen Elemente wie Kopf, Mantel, Hose, Schuhe, Gehstock ausgeschnitten hatte, habe ich diese mit Alcohol Inks eingefärbt. Stellen, die zu dunkel wurden, konnte ich mit Alcohol Blending Solution wieder aufhellen für die Highlights. Das mittlere Bild zeigt Dracula in mehreren gearbeiteten Schichten. Den weissen Rand habe ich später noch entfernt.

As base for Dracula I coloured Yupo paper and printed Dracula of the Stamper Anonymous Set ‚Monster Reunion‘ a couple of times with Archival Ink Black Soot. After sealing the surface with Embossing powder Frosted Crystal I cut out all the elements like the head, coat, trousers, shoes and walking stick. Using Alcohol Inks all elements were coloured and the highlights created with Alcohol Blending Solution by taking some of the colour off. The picture in the middle shows Dracula created with several layers. The white border was cut off later.

Zu einer Bühne gehört ein Vorhang, den ich aus dem Layers & Baseboard Frames Halloween Set genommen habe. Um das Rot ein wenig abzutönen und einen Hauch von Pink zu erzielen, habe ich den Vorhang einfach mit Alcohol Ink Raspberry eingefärbt, mit Frosted Crystal versiegelt und nochmals mit Alcohol Ink nachgefärbt. Als Schatten wurde ein zweiter Vorhang dunkel eingefärbt.

A stage has to have a curtain which I took from the Layers & Baseboard Frames Halloween Set. In order to cover the red tone a little and to achieve a more pinkish appearance I applied Alcohol Ink Raspberry, sealed it with Frosted Crystal and recoloured part of it again with Alkohol Ink. A second curtain was coloured in a dark tone to be used as shadow.

Das Etcetera Tag Small habe ich mit Papier vom Paperstash Abandoned beklebt und die Etcetera Trims passend gekürzt, um Stufen und eine kleine Bühne zu bauen. Die Oberflächen wurden mit Texture Crackle Paste, Distress Spray Stains und Distress Oxide Sprays behandelt. Den Baum habe ich mit Distress Spray Stains eingefärbt und die Schädel, Knochen und Perlen, teilweise mit Alcohol Inks und Distress Crayons behandelt, mit Distress Collage Medium eingeklebt, alles mit Distress Resist Spray und Distress Glitter Rock Candy eingesprüht.

Der Text ‚Style‘ ist mit der Bigz XL Stanze Handmade geschnitten, in mehreren Lagen verklebt und mit Distress Oxides eingefärbt. Der Text ‚Spooky‘ stammt aus einem Ideaology Halloween Text Set und wurde mit Collage Medium und Rock Candy Glitter behandelt. Die grünen Sterne sind mit Strukturpaste Crackle durch eine Schablone aufgetragen und mit Distress Oxides eingefärbt. Die Sterne von Ideaology habe ich mit Gritpaste, dann mit Distress Crayons, Collage Medium und Rock Candy Glitter behandelt.

The Etcetera Tag Small was covered with paper from Paper Stash Abandoned and Etcetera Trims shortened to create steps and the stage. The surfaces were treated with Texture Crackle Paste, Distress Spray Stains and Distress Oxide Sprays. I coloured the tree with Distress Spray Stains. The skulls, bones and beads were coloured with Alcohol Inks and/or Distress Crayons and glued with Distress Collage Medium into the branches. Then I sprayed the entire tree with Distress Resist Spray and Distress Glitter Rock Candy.

The text ‚Style‘ was cut with the Bigz XL Die Handmade, several layers glued on top of each other and coloured with Distress Oxides. The text ‚Spooky‘ is from a Ideaology Halloween Text Set and was treated with Collage Medium and Rock Candy Glitter. I applied Texture Paste Crackle through a stencil for the stars, which I later coloured with Distress Oxides. The Stars from Ideaology were treated with Gritpaste, Distress Crayons, Collage Medium and Rock Candy Glitter.
