Die neuen Distress Oxide Sprays von Tim Holtz sind meine absoluten Favoriten, um in Kombination mit Distress Spray Stains und Distress Inks Hintergründe für Karten zu gestalten.

The new Distress Oxide Sprays by Tim Holtz are my favourites to create backgrounds for cards in combination with Distress Spray Stains and Distress Inks.

Für diese Karte habe ich Aquarellpapier genommen und den Hintergrund zunächst mit Distress Spray Stain Dusty Concord und Seedless Preserve eingesprüht und vorsichtig einen Sprühstoss Distress Oxide Spray Cracked Pistachio ergänzt. Mit dem Distress Oxide Spray Mermaid Lagoon habe ich nicht gesprüht, sondern den Sprühkopf abgedreht und den Schlauch mit der Farbe wie einen Splatter Pinsel eingesetzt. Dadurch sind grosse Oxid-Farbflecken entstanden, erst dann habe ich alles mit einem Heisslüfter getrocknet. Mit einem Textstempel habe ich in den Hintergrund gestempelt. Den Schmetterling habe ich aus einem ähnlich gearbeiteten Hintergrund ausgestanzt. Der Text wurde auf helles Papier gedruckt und Stücke mit Distress Collage Medium fixiert. Die Borten habe ich mit dem 3D Impresslits Provincial gestanzt, mit Distress Collage Medium Crazing abgedeckt und dann mit Distress Inks Peacock Feathers und Ground Espresso gefärbt. Zum Schluss habe ich den Schriftzug und das Passepartout ergänzt.

The base for this card is water colour paper which I sprayed with Distress Spray Stain Dusty Concord and Seedless Preserve, then carefully added a spritz of Distress Oxide Spray Cracked Pistachio. Taking the lid off the Distress Oxide Spray Mermaid Lagoon, I used the plastic tube like a splatter brush. This way I achieved larger spots of oxide colour, only then I dried my background with a heat gun. I stamped some text into the background. The butterfly was cut from a background created in the same way. Then I printed text onto white paper and fixed torn pieces to the background with Distress Collage Medium matte. The border pieces were die cut using the 3D Impresslits Provincial. then added some Distress Collage Medium Crazing and coloured it with Distress Inks Peacock Feathers and Ground Espresso. I finished the card off by adding text and the mount.

Bei der zweiten Karte habe ich in der gleichen Art und Weise gearbeitet. Ich war nur etwas vorsichtiger bei dem Farbauftrag, da ich einen Himmel mit ‚Regen‘ kreieren wollte. Ich habe für den Hintergrund Distress Spray Stains Black Soot und Chipped Sapphire für die dunkleren Flecken und Distress Oxide Sprays Mermaid Lagoon, Faded Jeans und Peeled Paint genommen. Den Mann mit Schirm habe ich zum Teil mit Distress Oxide Peeled Paint eingefärbt, mit Distress Collage Medium Crazing eingestrichen, dann mit Oxide Spray Mermaid Lagoon besprüht und die Kanten mit Distress Ink Ground Espresso behandelt und mit Micro Glaze versiegelt.

The second card was done the same way like the first card. I applied the colours more carefully as I wanted to create a sky with ‚rain‘. For the background I used Distress Spray Stains Black Soot and chipped Sapphire for the darker spots and Distress Oxide Sprays Mermaid Lagoon, Faded Jeans and Peeled Paint. The Umbrella Man was sprayed with Distress Oxide Peeled Paint, covered with Distress Collage Medium Crazing , then sprayed with Oxide Spray Mermaid Lagoon and the borders treated with Distress Ink Ground Espresso. I sealed the surface with Distress Micro Glaze.

Bei Karte 3 und 4 , gleiche Prozedur wie vorher nur andere Zutaten. Karte 3 hat als Basis die Distress Spray Stains Squeezed Lemonade, Dusty Concord, Black Soot und Wilted Violet sowie die Distress Oxide Sprays Fossilized Amber und Picked Raspberry. Auf die Oberfläche habe ich Struktur Paste durch eine Schablone aufgetragen, die Farben vom Hintergrund haben sich durchgedrückt und die Paste eingefärbt. Das Tintenfass und die Feder stammen von der Tim Holtz Stanze Writing Desk.

Card 3 and 4 , same procedure as before only different ingredients. The base for Card 3 are the Distress Spray Stains Squeezed Lemonade, Dusty Concord, Black Soot and Wilted Violet as well as the Distress Oxide Sprays Fossilized Amber and Picked Raspberry. On top I applied some Structure Paste through a Stencil, the colours from the background came through. The Ink Well and Ink Pot are from the Tim Holtz Die Writing Desk.

Bei Karte 4 habe ich für den Hintergrund fast ausschliesslich mit Distress Oxide Farben gearbeitet, die sich mehr vermischt haben. Hierfür habe ich Distress Oxide Faded Jeans, Mermaid Lagoon, Wilted Violet und Picked Raspberry genommen. Die Borte ist mit der 3D Impresslits Scallop gestanzt und wie bei der ersten Karte, nur mit den koordinierenden Farben gearbeitet.

For the background of card 4 I used mainly Distress Oxid Sprays that mixed together more. I used Distress Oxide Faded Jeans, Mermaid Lagoon, Wilted Violet and Picked Raspberry. The borders were cut with the 3D Impresslits Scallop and like in card 1 I applied coordinating colours.
