Wenn es um Halloween geht, kommt man im Scrapbooking kaum an Tim Holtz und seinen innovativen Produkten vorbei. Mr. Bones, Inventor 4, die Zombies und Tangled Webs gehören zu seinen neuesten Stempelsets. Diese habe ich mit der neuen Halloween Mixed Media Schablone und dem Pumpkin Head Set vom letzen Jahr sowie vielen älteren Schablonen kombiniert. Der Hintergrund ist farblich mit den Distress Inks von Tim Holtz gestaltet. Ich möchte mich an dieser Stelle unbedingt bei Lynn Bean bedanken, die mich mit ihrem fantastischen Halloween Projekt (Inventor 4 Set und andere Sets) inspiriert hat.

When it comes to Halloween you can hardly avoid Tim Holtz and his innovative products. Mr. Bones, Inventor 4,  Zombies and Tangles Webs are some of his newest Stamper Anonymous stamp sets. Together with the new halloween mixed media die set I have combined these with the Pumpkin Head Stamp Set from last year as well as some older dies. The background was created with Tim’s distress inks. I want to say a big thank you to Lynn Bean who has inspired me by her fabulous halloween project (Inventor 4 and other sets).

Begonnen habe ich mit Mr. Bones, oder eher gesagt dem Kopf und habe ihn mit dem Skelett aus dem Investor Set 4, den Händen und dem Kopf aus dem Zombie Set sowie dem Kürbiskopf mit Hilfe von Metallringen zu einer Puppe zusammengebaut. Alle  Element sind mit StazOn Ink gestempelt und mit Distress Inks eingefärbt.

Starting with Mr. Bones or rather his head I have combined the skeleton from the Inventor 4 Set, the hands and head from the Zombie Set and the pumpkin head and assembled them with metal rings to a doll. All elements were printed with StazOn ink and coloured with distress inks. Distress Inks used: wild honey, mustard seed, black soot, twisted citron

Für den Hintergrund habe ich Distress Inks auf meine Arbeitsplatte, die Mixed Media Mat, aufgetragen, mit Wasser eingesprüht und mattes Fotopapier reingelegt. Nach dem Trocknen wurde der Vorgang wiederholt. Mit der Schablone aus dem Mixed Media Set wurden die Muster auf der linken Seite herausgeschnitten und farblich hinterlegt. Zum Abschluss wurden die Spinnennetze mit Distress Ink gestempelt und mit weissem Pulver und Hitze embossed.

For the background I applied distress inks on my mixed media mat, sprayed it with water and dipped my photo paper in. After it was dry the process was repeated. Then I cut out the shapes on the left hand side and layered it with contrasting colour. The webs from the Spider Webs Set were printed with distress ink and embossed with white embossing powder. Distress Inks used: wild honey, mustard seed, black soot, twisted citron, dusty concord, wilted violet, seedless preserve

Der Vordergrund besteht aus vier Elementen, die ich über die ganze Länge mit On The Edge Schablonen von Tim Holtz geschnitten habe. Hier handelt es sich um die älteren Schablonen Iron Gate, Graveyard, Twigs und eine weitere. Diese habe ich teilweise vorgefärbt, dann mit Crackle Paint und nach dem Trocknen mit Distress Spray Stain und Distress Ink behandelt.

The foreground consists of four elements cut along the whole length with On The Edge dies. These are Tim’s older dies Iron Gate, Graveyard, Twigs and the wiggly branches. Some of the stripes I coloured first then applied crackle paint and after some drying time I covered it with distress spray stains and distress inks. Distress Spray Stains and Distress Inks used: picket fence, black soot, wilted violet, hickory smoke, twisted citron, mowed lawn

Zum Schluss habe ich die Elemente wie die Kürbisköpfe (Stempel Pumpkin Heads), den Grabstein (Stempel Zombies), die Spinne (Bigz Candle Light Fright) und die Fledermäuse (Bigz Bewitching Hour) ausgeschnitten, mit Distress Inks eingefärbt und erhöht eingeklebt. Die Schrift Trick and Treat ist aus einem Idea-ology Halloween Set.

Finally I cut the other pumpkin heads (Pumpkin Head Stamp Set), the tomb stone (Zombies Star Set), the spider (Bigz Candle Fright) and the bats (Bigz Bewitching Hour) , coloured them with distress inks and glued them in slightly raised. The writing is part of an Idea-ology Halloween Set. Distress Inks used: wild honey, mustard seed, black soot, twisted citron

Das Skelett habe ich an einem Haken aufgehängt, so dass es sich beim Kippen des Bildes zwischen den Grabsteinen und dem Zaun bewegen kann und der ganze Körper wackelt. Auch die Hand mit dem Zombie Kopf schwingt hin und her. Ich hoffe, Ihnen hat der Ausflug in die Welt von Mr. Bones Spass gemacht.

The skeleton is fixed on a hook so that when tilting the frame the legs move between the tomb stones and the fence and the whole body wriggles. The hand holding the zombie head is swinging as well. I hope you enjoyed the excursion into Mr. Bones world.
