Ein Strauss frisch gepflückter Blumen von der Wiese zum Geburtstag.
Es gibt Karten, die gibt es nur einmal. Diese Karte habe ich speziell für eine Kundin gearbeitet und sie bleibt ein Unikat. Natürlich werde ich die Elemente immer wieder mal einsetzten, dann aber mit anderen Farben und anderen Elementen kombiniert.

Zu Beginn habe ich Aquarell Papier mit Distress Farben (alle Tim Holtz) Faded Jeans, Lucky Clover, Iced Spruce, Black Soot, Twisted Citron und mit Hilfe einer Rolle in mehreren Lagen eingefärbt. Den oberen Teil habe ich dann mit dem Sizzix 3D Texture Fade Folder Botanical geprägt und die erhabenen Stellen mit Tumbled Glass in hellblau hervorgehoben.

Die Giesskanne wurde ausgestanzt und zunächst mit Barn Door rot eingefärbt und dann in mehreren Schichten mit Stormy Sky, Tumbled Glass, Black Soot eingefärbt. Durch die Schichtung von Distress Farben, Distress Oxides und nochmal Distress Farben kam es zu der interessanten Abblätterung, dadurch sieht die Kanne alt und rostig aus.

Die Blumen sind aus dem Flower und Jar Stempel Set. Zuerst werden sie in dunkelgrün gestempelt und mit Aquarellstiften eingefärbt, dann mit dem dazu passenden Thinlits Set ausgestanzt, wobei ich für die Stabilität die Blumen in doppelter Schicht gearbeitet habe.

Die Schriftzüge und das metallene Element sind von Idea-ology. Die kleine Laterne stammt aus dem Camping Charme Set von Karen Burniston. Unter der Kanne ist noch ein Streifen, der als Basis Barn Door rot hat und danach mit farbloser Krakelierfarbe behandelt wurde. Danach habe ich die anderen Farben aufgetragen.

A flower bouquet freshly picked from a meadow for your birthday. Some cards are unique. This particular card I created specifically for a customer. Its one of a kind and it will stay this way. Naturally I will use the elements you can see in the card again, but the colours will be different and they will be combined with other elements.

At the beginning I covered watercolour paper with Distress paint (all Tim Holtz) Faded Jeans, Lucky Clover, Iced Spruce, Black Soot, Twisted Citron using a brayer to apply several layers. The top part was embossed (Sizzix 3D Texture Fade Folder Botanical) and then highlighted in blue with Tumbled Glass.

The watering can, after die cutting the element,  was painted in red with Barn Door and afterwards covered in several layers of Stormy Sky, Tumbled Glass, Black Soot. Because of the alternating application of Distress paint, Distress Oxides und Distress paint again (and some sticky fingers) some of the paint peeled off and created this vintage and rusty look.

The flowers are stamped in dark green with the Stampers Anonymous Set, coloured in with watercolour pencils and cut with the Sizzix Flower und Jar Thinlits Set that matches the stamps. For stability I double layered the flowers.

The writing and metal elements are from Idea-ology. The small lantern was cut and coloured from the Camping Charme Set of Karen Burniston. Below the watering can is a strip of watercolour paper that I first covered in Barn Door red, then applied some clear crackeling paint. After drying I covered it with some more matching colours.
